Starbucks Year of the Dragon Seasonal Drink?
No, there isn’t one of these, but could there be? I’d be interested in a Starbucks seasonal drink associated with the Lunar New Year aka Chinese New Year. The drink wouldn’t necessarily have to represent each of the twelve Zodiac animals. That’s just too many drink recipes that will span 12 years – too long. No, one seasonal drink with a custom cup design will do. I believe Starbucks does have A Year of the Dragon collectible mug already.
Or would this promotion come too quickly on the heels of the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasonal drinks? Would seasonal drink fatigue set in? Possibly.
Maybe the drink would be a custom tea drink, not necessarily coffee. Just an idea. On the other hand, how appealing would this seasonal drink be during the Year of the Rat (2020) or Year of the Pig (2019)? Hmm, 2016 is the Year of the (Red Fire) Monkey and that would be interesting!

Sunday’s Target ad featured Twilight’s Breaking Dawn, releasing on DVD and Blu-ray this coming weekend. A genius of a promotion I say!
The invitation to watch a sneak peek of Breaking Dawn, Part 2. Buying the DVD of Part 1 at midnight. Including replicas of the flowers at Edward and Bella’s wedding – a nice touch. Well played, Target.

Sometimes I do wonder how pictures are selected for Hipster’s Popular List. Â What is their algorithm?
In any case, I was a little surprised with this selection. Â A recent Windward sunrise showcased a pink sky but sadly, utility lines marred the view. Â Still though, Hipsters loved it.
How Do You Slow Down Blake Griffin?
You hug him of course! So by now, you’ve seen the Clippers’ Blake Griffin posterize Kendrick Perkins with his ferocious throw down.
The Thunder’s big man couldn’t stop Blake, but were you watching after the dunk? Clippers center, DeAndre Jordan, hugged Blake, and it took him awhile to break free from the embrace.
New Hunger Games Trailer
A new trailer for The Hunger Games is out. A few new shots but still lots of scenes from the Reaping. The pictures of the Capitol are interesting, and there are a few views of a stylized Katniss.

Had to chuckle at this one. While doing some basic background research on Anna Miller’s, I got these results from Google’s Image Search. Hey, is that my old kitchen counter pictured?!?
Yes, sure enough, it is my old counter under the Anna Miller’s pie tin. So I can now claim that I’ve contributed in defining Anna Miller’s on the Internet. 🙂
But I still don’t know what’s so special about their pie tins that require a deposit.
