Dancing with the Stars Finals
So who do you think will win the mirror ball trophy as the Season 8 champion of Dancing with the Stars? Here’s the “group” paso doble for a side-by-side comparison of all the dancers (in HD no less!!).
My votes went to Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke. Of the DWTS finalists, the expectation and anticipation level for this couple outshines the others. Balanced choreography is the trademark of Cheryl Burke who could be the first three time DWTS champion. Need to watch tonight to find out.
Terminator TV Series is Terminated
While I was an initial fan, I lost touch with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I guess I wasn’t the only one since the series has been terminated by Fox.
Does this mean Skynet won or lost? Did humanity survive or do we have to wait for Salvation?
Kim Willoughby Rage from Roids?
The timing of these articles can’t get much better. Former UH volleyball star, Kim Willoughby tests positive for steroid use and also is in court for an assault case in which she punched a woman several times, breaking a nasal bone and eye socket.
Roid induced rage?
Props to @coachdeano for pointing this out.
Differences Between iTunes and Amazon Music Stores
Recently, I’ve been buying a fair share of digital music from Amazon’s MP3 Music Store. Prices are good with some unbeatable, limited time deals. But besides the MP3 versus AAC formats, there are some other differences between the two music stores.
Check out this comparison of Green Day’s 21st Century Breakdown. Amazon had the digital download for $5, but it’s now $11.99 with 9 customer reviews.
iTunes is also selling this new release for $14.99 but with 3918 customer reviews!
This is a change for Amazon which usually has the majority of customer reviews. In this case, it looks like the music community is more active on iTunes (but I bought the songs from Amazon). ;)Â Wonder which store has a better deal on Eminem’s Relapse.
Dancing with the Stars Sexy Outfits
TVGuide.com has the sexiest outfits from Season 8 of Dancing with the Stars. Here’s the breakdown:
Cruising with The New Kids on the Block
Whoa, there’s a massive disturbance of female hormones in the Bahamas! But of course! The New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) cruise has set sail with 2100 women (still) swooning for Jonathan, Danny, Jordan, Donnie, and Joey.
Yes, after 20 years, women are willing to pay $1000 for a ticket on the three-day cruise to get more intimate with NKOTB. Sure, the group will perform such legendary hits as You’ve Got It (The Right Stuff) and Step by Step, and there’ll also be lots of pictures and teen fantasies fulfilled. But a thousand bucks to see the (aged) crew performing some of their youthful hits?!?
Must be I don’t get it, but for those digging this new age of NKOTB 2.0, you can follow along via their web site and Twitter.
From The Counter
Just a few pics from a previous dinner at The Counter in Kahala Mall.
And be sure to keep up with the very latest with The Counter by following @counterburger on Twitter.
Kanye West Covered by The Fray
I don’t follow American Idol but heard that Kris did a cover of Heartless by Kanye West. Seemingly, The Fray also did a cover of the song which isn’t too bad. See for yourself.
Still like Kanye’s original version? You do know that you can pick up Kanye’s 808 & Heartbreak for only $5 for a limited time on Amazon, right? And for comparison, here’s the original version of Heartbreak.
Run Super Natural with Nike Free
Watch this parody of runners who train in the buff at Bear Butte Running Camp! These runners are not natural runners. They are super natural runners, and of course wear Nike Free on their feet (which also comes in size 15 for that Asian brother!).
Watch as they apply the SPF 45 with the sprayer and did you catch that hot dog reference during the barbeque? Hilarious!
See how flexible the Nike Free running shoes are!!
More Pulpconnection Changes
Things at Pulpconnection continue to change. I’ve been tinkering around with some stuff to see how it works.
I’ve changed my “subscriptions” around and consolidated my main ones in the Connect section in the sidebar.
I installed Google FriendConnect along with a few of its gadgets. I’m currently using the Members gadget, Recommendations, and the Social bar. I’ll probably keep the Members and Recommendations gadgets. Not sure about the obtrusive Social bar which you now see at the very top. I also want to see if users can login to comment using their Google account via FriendConnect.
If you read a post you like, there’s a Recommend It! button at the end of the full post. These recommendations feed the Recommended stories gadget in the sidebar. I haven’t completely figured out the Recommend It button though since it shows on the very first post on the home page but not the other posts. But if go to a specific post, you’ll see the Recommend It button for each post.
With Google FriendConnect, I might drop the MyBlogLog Recent Visitors. They used to be THE game in town, but I hardly see any new MyBlogLog users roll through here anymore.
I tweaked the Top Posts widget to show the five most viewed posts from the past 30 days instead of the all time top posts.
And I forgot that Suggestions tab floating on the side of the screen. That’s powered by Skribit (and seen on Paul Stamatiou’s site). If you have any suggestions or recommendations for Pulpconnection, you can use this to provide your ideas.
