The University of Hawaii Warrior football team is going to its first ever BCS bowl game, playing the Bulldogs of Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. To celebrate this rare feat by the home team, Pulpconnection is having its last contest of the year based on the Warriors’ sweet journey to the Sugar Bowl.
How do you enter the contest? It’s easy. Just suggest a song with any of the following words in the name, artist, or album name. Here are the words:
Simple no? One song submission per avid Pulpconnection fan, and the winner will be randomly selected from the entries. Deadline is Friday, December 14. Shipping to a very limited area is possible, and I define that limited area. 😉

Club 939 is gearing up for the Holidays and the New Year with some specials for you and other gentlemen. First up is honoring the talent of 939 by purchasing their upcoming 2008 calendar. You remember the talent of 2007? I’m sure the Tabasco Man does after winning a customized calendar. The Tabasco Man wanted to be rocked, and 939 didn’t disappoint. The 2008 calendar release and signing party is coming up on December 13.
One week later, the Club is back at it with a special guest star. Be sure to look for ads in the newspaper and visit on December 20.
In the New Year, Club 939 will unveil a revamped web site, offering up new goodies. Be on the lookout in January 2008 at club939.com.
Sadly, a LOST: Missing Pieces mobisode won’t be filmed at the club after all. Writers’ strike still going on, you know.
And oh yeah, anyone got skills designing a tee shirt? Along with the black or white tees, 939 wants some fresh designs for their fans. You know fresh? Then get your design in.
This is more of an idea rather than a gift recommendation since this product doesn’t exist that I know of. But how about retro-ing a UH basketball jersey for Hawaii Head Coach Bob Nash? With the elder Nash as head coach and son, Bobby, in his senior year, this is the best time for this throwback.

Unlike last year, where a limited amount of great deals was available on a first come, first served basis, this year’s winners will randomly be picked, one for each day’s special until Wednesday, November 28. I’ve noticed on several occasions that the i94 Wake-Up Crew likes to play music from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg quite a bit. Stuff like Nuthin But a G Thang. At first, these songs were familiar favorites, but then I noticed that these old school classics were played kinda frequently. I like the change up rather than hearing the same current pop and R&B stuff.
