Sir Charles is getting his due treatment from Nike with the release of Air Force Ones done up in Barkley themes. These kicks will release starting in October, and I’m liking the Auburn colorways.

How would that be for a collaboration, kicks and clubbing at Hawaii’s adult hotspot? Hot kicks surrounded by hot dancers, hot music, and hot VIPs.
Would it be farfetched to have a kicks themed night at Club 939? I’m sure Kicks Hawaii can provide the goods to display and even outfit the 939 dancers with Kicks HI paraphernalia and maybe even kicks to wear. Think something along these lines. Wearing Nike Air Maxes has got to be better than strutting around in these.
Shoeheads who easily drop a benjamin on the latest sneaks would be attracted to all this beauty and can show off their mad kicks too. Wear a matching ensemble like this and get in for free! Maybe even CK, the online voice of Kicks HI can spin some tunes as a guest DJ.
In my younger days, I loved the anime series Robotech. Of course, the first and third generations were the best. Don’t know what happened to the Southern Cross second generation, but I digress… I guess others loved the show too since it’s going to be remade into a movie starring Tobey Maguire.
How are they going to pull this off I don’t know. I guess computer animation has come a long ways. I haven’t watched the Transformers movie but did see some very realistic trailers. Can Robotech the movie realistically portray shape shifting Veritech Valkyries, Zentraedi Cyclops, and the massive SDF-1?
And who would you cast in the movie? Tobey Maguire will be Robotech hero, Rick Hunter. Who makes a good choice for Minmei and Lisa Hayes? I vote for either Val Kilmer or Tom Cruise reliving their Top Gun days as Commander Roy Fokker, leader of the Skull Squadron. Captain Gloval has to be Edward James Olmos who plays Admiral Adama on Battlestar Galactica. How about the human/Zentraedi couple of Max and Miriya? The psycho and obsessed Lord Khyron?

Okay, granted I haven’t seen the moves and grooves of Mark Cuban on the dance floor, but he’s starting out season five of Dancing with the Stars right and going in with the right attitude.
I’m going to be out there to win, but I promise you no one is going to be having a better time than me. I can promise you that.

Even though I haven’t seen the Top Chefs use apples in their dishes, I know they are fans of the fruit. In this last week’s episode of Top Chef, Casey won the elimination challenge and instead of a culinary-related prize, she received a 17-in Apple MacBook Pro. Watch her reaction along with some of the other Top Chefs as Padma unveiled the prize.
You can tell Dale’s a fan and CJ? He almost had a conniption knowing he missed out on this prize.

Yes, early adopters of the hot iPhone were in for a shock Wednesday when Apple reduced the iPhone price by $200. The $599 8GB model was reduced to $399, and the 4GB model was outright eliminated (but still available at $299 while supplies last).
So users of the two-month old iPhone were obviously upset at the quick price reduction. Fans of Apple have come to expect this kind of sudden change but even this reduction so soon was surprising.
What does Apple do? It does something just as surprising to continue the company’s good karma. Steve Jobs is giving $100 back (in Apple Store credit) to iPhone buyers. With iPhone sales nearing one million units sold, $100 back for each of these comes out to a whopping $100M given back to customers. Yes, Apple is still making a lot of money from iPhone sales, but the point is they didn’t have to do anything at all.
Good move Apple.

There were some interesting changes on this week’s episode of Top Chef. Episode 10, Chef Overboard, saw Casey win her first elimination challenge and bulldog Howie packing his knives.
What was interesting though was the change in demeanor in Howie and Hung, and more importantly, how they both got reprimanded. Howie’s penalty was, of course, more severe being eliminated but during this show, he actually was a team player and took recommendations from others. He still has his strong will but was nicer, more polite, and wanted to contribute to the team. Unfortunately, this got him nowhere with his dishes betraying him.
Everyone actually got to see a different side of Hung in this episode. At the show’s intro, Hung admits that he didn’t think Tre would be eliminated so soon and was okay with the idea of losing to Tre. This is the first time Hung seemed personable and actually felt for his other competitors. Then Hung had fun with the Quickfire challenge building his Smurf village using cereal and other junk food. He was smiling and genuinely looked at ease in the kitchen instead of his usual frenetic, frantic self. And what did this humane side of Hung get him? In the bottom of the competition being beaten up by the Judges.
Was there a mixed message in this show? Yeah, I think so. Be personable and likable and get slammed. Be cold and antagonistic and move on in the competition.

Only one week left before the release of Kanye West’s Graduation on September 11. 50 Cent and Kanye have some rivalry going on with both artists releasing their latest on the same day. 50 says he’ll hang it up if Kanye’s sales are superior.
Kanye is hitting his stride right now. His first single, Stronger, is blowing up and is currently the Number 1 selling song at the iTunes Store. And now MySpace is featuring Kanye on its Music Channel this week.
50 Cent should be a little worried right about now…

Of course, these images of a possible new iPod Nano could be fake, but something iPod related is coming out this Wednesday. Previous images of the possible 3rd Generation Nano made the device look fat and chunky.
But this image makes the iPhat look downright phat! Or at least Photoshopped.
