While doing basic edits on a movie using iMovie 09, I got this useless error, “Alert, Error Occurred” while trying to upload to YouTube. That’s it, no reason or error codes. Searching for these terms though, I did find the culprit in this Apple Discussion forum.
Re-enter your YouTube account credentials, possibly using your YouTube-associated email address, and things should work. But how would you guess that from that useless error?!

This is a harsh lesson about the virtual meeting the real. Starbucks and Foursquare have teamed up to offer virtual Mayors special offers at real Starbucks locations. But this is what it meant for me in real life.
The Starbucks location I went to wasn’t aware of this promotion, so I didn’t get my $1 Mayor discount for my Frappuccino. Is this promotion available in Hawaii even though the Foursquare app shows the discount? Or was the staff uninformed of the promotion? I wonder if there’s any recourse for getting my discount or a way of fixing this for the future?

Since Starbucks and Foursquare have teamed up for a recent promotion, mayorship now has more than a virtual significance. When’s Foursquare going to allow the “trading” of mayorships? Say you want to be mayor of a Starbucks, and I want to be mayor of a McDonalds. As mayors of these respective locations, can we trade these virtual properties? Kinda reminds me of the game Monopoly…

Over the weekend, the Ala Moana Hotel hosted a Barbizon model search. As the morning went on, it got more and more packed! And no, I wasn’t there to audition, and in my opinion, neither should many of those in attendance.

Whatever the reason Steve Consalvi had for running out on the field during a Phillies game and whether or not the use of a taser was excessive, I’m not judging. But to remember this event, I designed a Frappuccino that looks like this.
I started with a Green Tea Frappuccino base to match the grassy outfield of Citizens Bank Park where Steve made his run. Then I adorned the image with thoughts, reactions, emotions, and feelings of the fans as Steve was tased into submission.
Did you have flashbacks to “Don’t tase me, bro!” when hearing about Phillies fan, Steve Consalvi? Young Steve left the ballpark stands and ran around the field, stopping play while security took him down with a taser.
