No Obama Sighting Around Here
Even though Barack Obama is practically a neighbor (yeah right), there’s been no pulpy Obama sighting around here. Then again, I didn’t make it to the beach for an early morning swim. Nor did I play my usual round of afternoon golf. And darn, Alan Wong’s was completely booked for dinner tonight.
Maybe I’ll go for some shave ice tomorrow…

Liveblogging Up Energy Coffee
Here goes. Drinking the new Up Energy Coffee by Royal Mills, mocha flavor.
- 12:38 First sip. Hmm, what’s that taste? Coffee-ish, but not quite coffee.
- 12:39 Reminds me of the light brown iced coffee drink from Royal Mills/Ito-en.
- 12:40 Interruption. Visitor by my desk.
- 12:42 The drink is “thin” – not too milky, like soy milk (Up does contain soy)
- 12:42 Somewhat sweet, not sure about the chocolaty aspect of being a mocha, would have to compare with the cappuccino flavor
- 12:44 Do I feel tune up, ramped up, one upped, jumped up? Not yet…
- 12:45 Meeting coming up. Wonder if I’ll be hyper in the meeting?

Gregg Hammer is a Genius!
A little old but still makes me chuckle when I think of it. Earlier in the week, the Wake-Up Crew at 93.9 were doing their thing when Hammer busts out his racial stereotypes.
This time he was I-go Takeshita. Say it slowly and phonetically. Genius! Krazy-E couldn’t stop laughing and so couldn’t I.

Up Energy Coffee
Just picked up a new addition to the energy drink market. Royal Mills, makers of my favorite canned iced coffee drinks, is now selling their Up Energy Coffee drinks. I forget the exact tagline describing these drinks, but it’s something like the coffee drink that woke up. Available in mocha or cappuccino flavors.
Cost is expensive at $1.30 per 11 oz can. The regular Royal Mills coffee drinks are about $0.65 a can while on sale.
Will live blog my tasting of Up in the near future so be on the lookout.
