This is DJ Paul Brandon?!?

Not what I expected (the guy on the left), but I guess that’s why he does radio. I still like his mixes though and try to catch his Hot Mix at Six if I can.
From MidWeek.

A new drive-thru Starbucks opened in Waipahu last week. Most of you would call it Waipio, but to me it is Waipahu. It is located by the Costco. My wife drives by it every morning and said the lines are always long. Guess I was wrong about a Jamba Juice opening. No sign of them around. Lucky for Planet Smoothie.
Okay, so I didn’t think the TV show Bones would last. In any case, the iTunes Store has a free episode for the taking (at least for this week).
Get the Bones episode, The Titan on the Tracks.

Here’s a pic of Apple’s iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED. Proceeds from the sale of this special edition iPod helps to fight AIDS in Africa.
Rumors are out there that Sara Evans is voluntarily dropping out of Dancing with the Stars due to personal reasons.
If true, Monique will be the only female celebrity left.

Apple is helping Oprah and U2’s Bono with their cause of fighting AIDS in Africa. Introduced on Friday will be a special edition red iPod nano, and Apple will contribute $10 per red iPod sale. Other companies like Gap, Motorola, Converse, and Emporio Armani are also pitching in with their line of red products.
Wow, checking recent web stats for Pulpconnection, I’m getting quite a few hits from folks looking for pictures of dancers from Dancing with the Stars.

While I don’t mind the extra hits, I’m just letting people know that I don’t got pictures of dancers from Dancing with the Stars. This post will probably bring in a few more hits…
I’m no Lost fanatic, but I have been watching since it is an interesting show with lots of plot twists. After last night’s episodes, I’m guessing that the island must be some kind of fountain of youth or at least physically regenerates people. In past shows, Locke was stuck in a wheelchair and that one lady had terminal cancer but both are fine after being on the island.
The “others” must be really old but the island preserves them. They’re probably remnants of a science experiment that didn’t work out. They have communications with the outside world and have access to information so they are by no means unknown and stranded. They remain on the island by choice. Maybe it’s that strange magnetic device that is the key to the regenerative powers of the island? By living longer and being able to observe the fallacies of the outside world, the others feel like they’re morally superior living in their own utopia. Hence, the “we’re the good guys” sentiment.
All the plane crash survivors are probably descendants of those who left the island when they didn’t want to be part of the utopia.
The lady that Sun shot on the sailboat will be back. The island will heal her. Unless you die immediately, I think the island can preserve you.

Week 5 of Dancing with the Stars featured solid dancing by everyone, and even though Willa Ford was in a 4-way tie for first place, the “bad girl of pop” was eliminated. I guess fans were too busy trying to find the latest rumors about her extra-curricular relationship and steamy chemistry with dancing partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, rather than voting for her.
That’s one more celebrity female off the show, leaving Sara and Monique to represent the women. They’re up against the four male celebrities, Joey, Jerry, Mario, and Emmitt. Not looking good for the ladies…
Random notes. Jerry Springer and Kym’s wardrobe and entertaining dance kept them alive this week. Kudos to Jerry for having the guts to wear that black ruffled, open front shirt. You’re gone next week when the two dances per show start up. Sara Evans did better, but she still got to buckaloose. She’s the X factor with the country western fans pulling for her. Monique Coleman is still middle of the pack material who will be ousted when the going gets tough. Emmitt Smith got to keep in the game and show gradual improvements. So far he’s following the plan. Peak too soon and you’ll be out. Joey Lawrence has a sexy partner in Edyta Sliwinska, but he can’t beat out Mario. Mario Lopez is too good a dancer and looking (hey is that a zeugma?). He’ll be in the competition until the end, but eventually the haters will get him. Beautiful people always have haters. These are the ones that admire Mario but vote for someone else.

First off, I can’t believe there’s an actual study to see if using a 30-in flat panel from Apple makes computer users more productive. I guess if you’re willing to pay, you can have any study done.
According to the study results:
testing showed time savings of 13.63 seconds when moving files between folders using the larger screen — 15.7 seconds compared to 29.3 seconds on the 17-in. monitor — for a productivity gain of 46.45 percent. The testing showed a 65.09 percent productivity gain when dragging and dropping between images — a task that took 6.4 seconds on the larger monitor compared to 18.3 seconds using the smaller screen. And cutting and pasting cells from Excel spreadsheets resulted in a 51.31 percent productivity gain — a task that took 20.7 seconds on the larger monitor versus 42.6 seconds on the smaller screen.
There’s some talk that a dual monitor setup works just as well. To be on the safe side and guarantee increased productivity, get yourself dual 30-in Apple flat panel. No way you can go wrong with that.

Tinkering around with creating a web site for a small, local restaurant on the Windward side. What would you expect to see on a site like this?
What else? Thanks for any suggestions.
