Been watching a lot of Bravo’s reality TV show to find America’s next Top Chef, and it’s really entertaining. Who knew a cooking show could be so fun to watch?
Each week the chefs have a challenge to perform with interesting twists to test not only their cooking abilities but their teamwork and creativity. After each contest, one chef is eliminated while the winner gains immunity for one week. The show is down to the last 5 chefs from the starting 12. Smug and snooty Stephen is still there. Emotional Dave is holding up. Harold is still quietly in the hunt. Lee Anne and Tiffani are going strong.
You can catch up with the shows since Bravo repeats them a lot. Or if you can’t wait for reruns, the episodes are available on iTunes.

In a few previous posts, I wrote about being passionate about work. I didn’t have this in mind though. Passion Parties may be the next big thing, overtaking craft fairs?

I don’t want to get into it too much since I really, really don’t care, but what’s with Tom Cruise and Scientology? First off, I’m glad Tom, Katie, and Suri are all fine. I read things here and there about the silent birth of Scientology. Yeah, yeah, weird, but whatever.
Now I read that Tom Cruise may have achieved the Operating Thetan (OT) level 7 or OT-VII. Being OT-VII is supposed to be way up there in the Scientology ranks. But what is OT-VII? Not really sure since “the exact details of which are fiercely guarded and forbidden to be discussed even among top members.”
Okay, strange. Then I read that Scientology is based on the cosmology that “holds that humans bear the noxious traces of an annihilated alien civilization that was brought to Earth by an intergalactic warlord millions of years ago.” Uh yeah, that’s enough Scientology for me.
Although, OT-VII has a good ring to it. Maybe work should adopt this rating scale instead of the data scum or GOAT model?

Before I forget, are there horses on the way to Mililani? On Sunday, I could have sworn I saw a brown horse grazing in a grassy area off of the H2 before the Mauka exit (before the gulch dip section).
Are there horses there or am I just having a “Lost” moment?
It was a matter time before the voices returned. You can only hold it in for so long before you have to speak. There were about 13 posts on Monday on the blogging network of Wayne’s World, CCTWT, Baby Dog Days, and Pulpconnection.
The wide range of topics includes fortunes of the rich, Easter stories, and the ups and downs of life. And there’s the sublime as well.
Excuse me, I got some voices to listen to.

Went out for brunch on Easter Sunday. Saw animals on their way to a petting zoo while headed to the Grand Cafe & Bakery in Downtown. A small place that serves good food and is weirdly located across the street from a public basketball court. The indoor area of the cafe was full so we sat in their nicely landscaped, outdoor courtyard.
I ate the “boeuf et eoufs” or as us locals call it, the beef and eggs, and finished the meal off with a piece of peanut butter chocolate pie. Yum!
The highlight of the morning was seeing this blinged out Pontiac Aztek while headed back to the car. The guy that owns this beauty must be a playa who boeufs et eoufs often!

While station hopping the radio this morning, I heard a familiar voice. Sam da Man is back on the Hawaiian air doing the morning show on 102.7 Da Bomb. Yes, Japanese national and sidekick Taka is back as well (still can’t understand what he’s saying).
Last I heard, Sam, Hawaiian Ryan, and Kid Leo were going to try to make it big on the East Coast. Not sure what happened. Did they bomb or did something happen in “contract negotiations?” These guys haven’t been gone too long, and I’m not sure if all of them are back in the Islands.
Too bad local talent couldn’t make it, but I’m glad that the funny Sam is back. BUT, Sam’s now in the morning slot going against the formidable 93.9 Wake Up Crew. It’d be better if Sam went back to the Afternoon Bomb to get rid of Young Jon Q (sp?). Young Jon just don’t match the vibe of Da Bomb.
