Took another L!!!
Today has been a day full of “taking Ls.” Here’s a quick example. I need to order more address pouches from UPS for mailing labels, and this is what I get.

Happy holidays and Merry Christmas to all. Hope your holiday season is going as well at it can, and hope Santa blessed you with some goodies.
If StockX were Santa, here’s what I would be getting under the Christmas tree.

What can I say other than “Nailed it!”
Okay, maybe not… I doubt I would even wear those Jordan 12 Reverse Flu games. Maybe the Swatch x Tape camo watch.
Regardless, the holidays aren’t solely about the material things as this year has pointed out, so go ahead and enjoy time with family and friends (virtual or hopefully in person).
By watching War Games on Netflix.
Would you like to play a game?

Gotta love seeing the old school tech in action and the youth of Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy. I have to guess this 1983 movie was remastered since it looked decent on an HD television. The picture wasn’t pixelated or cropped or anything weird. It was HD quality of course but very passable and watchable.
I remembered the DEFCON level indicator looking cooler instead of a (big) horizontal traffic light signal. The only way to hack, obviously, is shirtless in bed surrounded by paper printouts. And what did David do to the pay phone to get a free call?
They release three shoes… all on the same morning, all with some level of demand.

There are two Air Jordans with a metallic gold color, one in the OG high silhouette and the second is a mid with lots more gold accents. Adidas and Kanye West, on the other had, are re-releasing the Yeezy 500 in Utility Black. Not sure how that’s “cyber” but regardless, a well received shoe.
How does a coffee shop participate on a buying day affectionally known as Cyber Monday? By offering a BOGO purchased through your “cyber” device (aka your mobile phone).

I’m not sure if every Rewards member automatically gets this promotion, but I’m guessing so.
Stopped off at Ala Moana at 7am on Black Friday, and it was surprisingly empty, very empty. The lighting of the still-rising sun was nice.

Walking through the mall was mellow but colorful.

While I was there, I had to do the obligatory escalator check. Were they all in service? Most were.

Stores were ready for the crowds with stanchions for queues but only a handful of stores had customers waiting at 7:30am.

The Makai Wing had the most customers with people waiting to get in Zara, Uniqlo, and Lululemon. I didn’t really pick up anything this morning other than this Salted Caramel Mocha from the Nordstrom’s eBar.

I did hear that Ala Moana got crowded after lunch. I guess everyone had to wake up from their Thanksgiving meal coma, do some online shopping, then headed to the mall.
Wait… Bed, Bath, and Beyond is still in Hawaii? I had thought they closed all their locations, but they have a Black Friday ad in the Star Advertiser.

And yes, the Pearlridge/Aiea location formerly known as Circuit City is still home to the last Bed, Bath, and Beyond in the 808 state.
Is this thing working? Sadly due to COVID and all its social distancing restrictions, Black Friday shopping doesn’t feel like Black Friday shopping. Sure, online sales have already started earlier in the week and more specials are inbound, so maybe the frenetic craziness of BF shopping may actually happen.
In any case, hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving!
It’s simply amazing how fast the new Sony Playstation 5 sells out. No matter the vendor, no matter the venue, and no matter what time of day – the PS5 vanishes seconds after releasing.

Today, Walmart advertised that they would be restocking the PS5 for an early Black Friday. I refreshed the product page for the digital version and saw the message sold out. That was within 10 seconds! But really, it seems like the digital version released after the disc version and wasn’t available right at the designated time.
These COVID times are definitely crazy times!
Courtesy of Costco comes these Beats PowerBeats3 Wireless earbuds that are sweat and water resistant for workouts. I don’t know much about this product other than Costco is clearing them out for $49.97 (regular price around $99).

Seems like reviews say this wireless earbuds has a problem with it suddenly stop working, these are from Costco where I’ve seen some ridiculous returns. And at $50, the investment isn’t very steep.
