I’ve been lucky enough to have won two sneaker raffles from Sneakersnstuff (SNS) over the past year. My first raffle win was for the Yeezy 700 Inertia colorway, and my most recent raffle success landed me the Air Jordan 1 Retro Gym Red colorway. But as I’ve come to disappointintly learn, a SNS raffle win is […]

I never really thought much about the colorway names of recent Yeezy Boost releases, but really their names are interesting. Take the upcoming Tephra 700 model releasing this week. What’s a tephra? When a volcano erupts it will sometimes eject material such as rock fragments into the atmosphere. This material is known as tephra. Source. […]
Just some notes about #coppingkicks before I forget: The rush before a drop. The frustration of site issues, crashes, lag, etc. The hope of a successful checkout. The devastation of getting the L. Hope renewed during a restock. Devastated one or two more times or perhaps, salvation. The disappointment when the price of that W […]
Okay, really, it’s not that bad. But right now, my #coppingkicks mood is like this: I missed out on most hyped releases, but again, just gotta keep things in perspective. Although they are just shoes, I wouldn’t have minded a pair or two (hint, hint Travis Scott).
Do you see a common theme going on here? No FoG. No Jacks. No Jordan Pop. No Mars Yard Overshoe. No Cactus Jacks (again). No donuts. So of course, following this trend, when the Nike collaboration with Cactus Plant Flea Market dropped this morning, I got another no.
So I’m still bummed about missing out on the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 for the third time. But I can take some solace in knowing that I actually do own a Cactus Jack labeled Air Jordan. This is the lowkey pair but probably the most performance-based model via the Air Jordan 33. Still though, […]
Let’s just say this day has been a rough one. All in all, it’s just another Saturday but from a copping kicks standpoint, I got donuts. Nada. Zilch. So what better way to commemorate this than by eating some donuts. But you know what kind of day this has been right? Of course, there were […]
Bottom line: I didn’t get a pair of the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 that released on Nike SNKRS. I was there, and I was ready with three phones and three accounts. But I got hit with error after error just trying to navigate the purchasing process. Apple Pay didn’t register. I think I mistyped […]
I also was not the one who supposedly got the last size 9 of the Nike + Tom Sachs Mars Yard (Overshoe) High Tops from Mr. Porter.
There it goes, the last of my Yeezy 350 True Forms. Launched in Europe, I’m glad that many European retailers ship to the US, but it’s my American fault for not learning the European shoe sizes. Otherwise a True Form would have been a personal keeper if I knew that size EUR 44 2/3 equaled […]
Is this becoming a theme? No Frogs, no FOGs, and now no Jacks. Oh BTW, Happy Birthday Travis Scott! To commemorate being 28 years old, good old TS let go a few more pairs of his Cactus Jack Air Jordan 1. I thought I had a chance but no, that top tier stuff still eludes […]
Literally, I have no Fear of God (FOG). Nike and designer Jerry Lorenzo are at it again partnering the swoosh with FOG and releasing two original silhouettes, the odd Moc and the old school Raid. Yes, that Air Raid with the signature criss-crossed double straps and made for the outdoor court. But the FOG Raid […]
