Bath & Body Works Windward Mall
Bath & Body Works quietly opened its doors in Windward Mall during the week of October 5, 2015. Occupying a “corner” location, this unusually shaped store is fully stocked with fall and Halloween-seasonal scents.
You can sample Vampire’s Blood, House of Horrors, Ghoul Friend or perhaps some Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Pumpkin Latte, or Pumpkin Cupcake. Click on the image below to see more pictures.
Doing Some Testing
Playing around with Pulpconnection’s theme to test out some thing. Just temporary.
Holiday Gift Guide 2015: Micropig
What do you get your animal lover for Christmas? They already have their stable of dogs, cats, birds, fish, and more. So how about a micropig? Not a miniature pig, a micropig. Genetically altered by Chinese scientists, a fully grown micropig weighs 33 pounds at a cost of $1600.

Or may be this is all a hoax and that “micropig” is really a young pig that’ll oink out soon enough.
Holiday Gift Guide 2015: Facial Fitness Pao
The guilt-free eating during the Holidays is quickly absolved with the setting of New Year’s resolutions. Of course, you’re going to keep your promise of working out diligently and losing those Thanksgiving and Christmas pounds. To help reach these goals, a $140 gift of the Facial Fitness Pao is just the thing.
Along with slimming your physique, keep things proportional by slimming your face using the Facial Fitness Pao. Just bite down, make a head nodding movement, and just keep going for 30 seconds. You can do this at home, at work, or even during your commute to work. There’s no excuse for not having a slim toned face with the Facial Fitness Pao.
Extra Cash and Nike Clearance?
Nike just added items to their online clearance section, and if I had extra cash, here’s a few pickups I’d get.
Nike Field General 2. I’d actually want these if I were going on a trip that required lots of walking. But that low durability review is a little concerning.
Nike Lunar Hyperrev Low. Based off of the Hyperrev basketball show but made for off-court use. I like the look of this hybrid and maybe would go with this over the Field General.
Nike Free Ace Leather. A strap, Free sole, a bootie, and a new silhouette – what’s not to love?
Siri and Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay
This combination has to be in the works and watch out when it surfaces. The Starbucks Mobile Order & Pay app works great. You place your order via the mobile app and pick up your drink in a few minutes. The most difficult aspect is actually placing your order on the mobile app while driving. Easy if there’s a passenger, not so much if your the sole vehicle occupant. If you’re re-ordering a previous drink, it’ll be on the Previous Order menu, making it a little easier.
But if you wanted to place a new order, you have to browse for the drink or search for it. Either requires tapping on your device. Instead of this dangerous distraction, why not just tell Siri what you want and let he/she/it order it for you? Okay, so you probabably have to acknowledge the order either with a tap of approval or perhaps a Touch ID “unlock” but just imagine the ease and convenience!
And of course, Siri would get trained from your commonly ordered drinks and better understand your verbal order. Or perhaps the app could simply assign numbers to your “quick order” list so all you need to say is, “Hey Siri, order a number 3.”
I can definitely see this happening, and I can’t wait.
Why Danielle Tucker Is the Best Traffic Reporter
Yup, Danielle is definitely the best traffic reporter on Oahu. Not only are her traffic reports detailed, understandable, and extremely useful, but she interacts with her audience, helping them through their commute. Case in point was Tuesday’s traffic debacle. Leaving work almost immediately I ran into a backlog of cars, and time ticked by trying to make the short drive to Kamehameha Highway in Pearl City. I mean I didn’t mind hanging out with Big T for a few minutes but try 20 minutes…
Being at an essential standstill, I figured I’d ask Ms. Tucker what’s up with the local area traffic. The Twitterverse being the Twitterverse I never expected any kind of response but then came this online conversation.
Wow. Not only did she respond, she actually acted on my question, looking into the problematic intersection. And then, it was like she was actually watching the situation asking me if I made it through the last light (which coincidentally felt longer allowing more cars to proceed). Was Danielle working some Traffic Management Center magic like a traffic guardian angel? Who knows. All I know is that Danielle Tucker is the best traffic reporter on Oahu.
Oh, and it doesn’t hurt that she can take a joke being the target of Gregg Hammer’s Two Voice Tuesday impersonations.
El Capitan Coming September 30
Don’t forget that the launch of Mac OS X 10.11 aka “El Capitan” is coming up on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Read about its features and if you absolutely can’t wait, you can run the Pre-release/Golden Master version.
I can say that the GM version runs adequately on a mid-2007 iMac with 6 GB of memory. I won’t be taking advantage of all the El Capitan features on this aged iMac, but performance is okay for an eight-year old machine.
Holiday Gift Guide 2015: Best Hoodie in the World
Back in 2012, this hoodie gained the reputation for being the best hoodie ever made. A hooded sweatshirt aka a hoodie. The best in the world. Several years later, getting an American Giant hoodie won’t take months, but you have to be willing to spend close to $90 for this best hoodie in the world. However, if you’re looking for a holiday gift for someone with high standards, the American Giant just might be it, especially in this limited edition olive brown.
