Delighted with Nespresso
There I was, delighted with the service of Hansgrohe, when I saw something else in the kitchen that didn’t look right.

What’s that on the bottom of my water tank of my Nespresso U? That looks like rust! Yuck.

Yup, sadly it is rust, and Google reveals others with the same problem. Not even a year old, I was bummed by this discovery. Then I saw this post on Facebook. So I followed suit and mentioned my problem, providing my Nespresso Club membership number to validate my recent Nespresso purchase.
Look what showed up at my doorstep this week…

And even better, no charge for the fast delivery.

Free and fast – wow! And more amazing, completely done via social media channels. I never actually spoke to anyone for this incident. Truthfully, the original water tank is still usable since the rusted metal is actually on the outside of the water reservoir, but it looks so unappealing.
Thanks for the delightful service Nespresso!
Kailua Safeway Gettin’ Lifestyled
Finally. With the impending arrival of neighboring Target, the main Safeway location in Kailua is getting a much needed facelift. I’m not sure if it’s getting the whole “lifestyle” treatment as I describe the Kaneohe and Hawaii Kai renovations from years back or just cosmetic changes.
From the looks of the amount of incoming hardware, the changes seem significant.

Sample of new hardware.

Floor stripped to concrete.
Old and new flooring.
New flooring closeup.
For posterity sakes, remember the old.
I gotta check back in a week to see how much has progressed.
Kim Kardashian and Kim Jong Il
Two voice Tuesday on Hammertime brought a mashup of Kim “Mrs. Yeezy” Kardashian and Korea’s own Kim Jong Il. Sorry, I cannot translate and don’t mind the non-sequitur image. SoundCloud’s integration with Instagram isn’t working for all my images.

Delighted with Hansgrohe
Back in 2011, we did a kitchen and bathroom remodel and chose Hansgrohe hardware for the faucets and showers. To me, their products embody interesting aesthetics and solid workmanship. What I didn’t realize about Hansgrohe hardware is the extent of their limited lifetime warranty.
My Talis S kitchen faucet sprung a slow leak that I traced to a faulty flexible water hose. After looking for a replacement online, I read that this hose could be covered under warranty. I called Hansgrohe customer support, explained my problem, and was ensured this was indeed under warranty, especially given its fairly recent installation. I had to email in pictures of my faucet and about a week later, a replacement was delivered to my door!
Since this worked out well, I also asked about my hand shower that started to drip, and you guessed it, a replacement was provided free of charge! Thanks for the great service Hansgrohe!

The Return of Two Voice Tuesday?
Mea culpa if this is old news, but when did Hammertime on KRTR 96.3 revive the famous Two Voice Tuesday? Have I somehow been missing out all this time listening to Gregg Hammer combine two vocal caricatures? Here are a few clips from today’s zaniness.
All-Asian Wayne Anzaki mixed with Austrian-American Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Perhaps a little controversial, but he was asked and Mr. Hammer produced, mixing Helen Keller and Bubba Smith. Don’t mind the Harley revving its engine in the background

Say what? I can’t understand what “Oprah Chai” is saying. Maybe Oprah Winfrey and local chef Chai Chaowasaree can translate.

And what’s with my SoundCloud images for these audio clips? Just playing around with SoundCloud’s integration with Instagram and using some of my recent shots.
Expanding Outbrain’s Reach
Keep an eye out for babes on Pulpconnection. After reading this article about “Around the Web” recommendations and the mention of Outbrain.com, I got curious. I use Outbrain’s recommendations on Pulpconnection but had its scope limited to content only on my blog. For the time being, I expanded Outbrain’s recommendations to include other sites just to see if I experience what the Verge’s article mentions.
Although I think I already saw a precursor of what’s to come. Remember when I compared Outbrain, the Similar Posts plugin, and JetPack Related Posts? Outbrain had a penchant for recommending off-the-wall suggestions, typically dealing with Club 939. So just a warning that there may be babes ahead.
Shopping for a Body Roller
This extra firm body roller looks like a good mix of price and reviews, j/fit Super High-Density Foam Roller, Black, 36×6-Inch.
Is That a Starbucks or Storage for Home Depot?
Now Starbucks is just playing with caffeine addicts like you and me. Go from two busy locations in Ala Moana to a single, always-slammed spot. But hey, look, a new kiosk graces the Center Court area, and it, too, is busy.
So Starbucks balance has returned to Ala Moana. But not so fast! What’s this?! The minuscule, always-crowded, Macys-in-store location is now closed.
Or is that really a Home Depot storage spot?

What are you doing to us Starbucks??? Just can’t win.
Ben and Jerry’s at Ward?
This has to be an old sign from bygone days right? Ben & Jerry’s ice cream coming to Ward?!? Rewind back to July 2006 when Ben & Jerry’s had their Ward grand opening or a sign in the parking structure that was never taken down?
