Wear Linsanity for $100
Linsanity for your feet is black and orange and costs $100. That’s the details for the latest Nike Zoom Hyperdunk 2011 Low “Linsanity” edition. Supposedly released this weekend.

Not sure how this black and orange colorway represents JLin, but who am I to question Linsanity?

From Blazing to Fat to Now Open
Blazing Steaks in the Enchanted Lakes Shopping Center is no more, changing to a new Fat Greek location. Fat Greek was “opening soon” for a long, long time, but as of this week, Fat Greek is now open for business in Kailua.
Look for their other location on Ala Moana Blvd in Waikiki.
Upgraded to Disqus 2012
Did you notice anything different with the comments section for each post? Pulpconnection’s comment engine has been upgraded to the beta version of Disqus 2012. I’ve been using Disqus for some time after switching from Intense Debate. So far, I’m liking the improvements this newer version of Disqus brings, namely the consolidated area for comments and community.
At its core, Disqus handles blog post comments aka Discussions.

But now there are additional tabs bringing you closer to related activities like viewing Top Discussions and Top Commenters. In the past, this information was available but typically in separate widgets.

You can also vote on comments and easily share them in your other social circles. With these added features, I might take out the Recent Comments in the right sidebar.
Until Disqus 2012 is released to the general public, you can request an invite (my request took about 2 days before I was invited).
Katy Perry, a Christian Gospel Singer?
I never knew pop diva Katy Perry’s musical past, so it was a shock to learn she started off as Katy Hudson, a Christian Gospel singer. After a tepid response to her first release, she underwent a “pivot,” became Katy Perry, and look at her recording sales now.
Here’s the pivoted Katy singing with Elmo (in a dress too small).
Kayak Pro Pick of the Week
If you haven’t done so already, travel lovers need to stop by Starbucks for the Pick of the Week. This week features the iOS app, Kayak Pro.
Thanks to Chad Ochocinco and His Stolen Starbucks Gold Card
First off, I am bummed that NFL receiver Chad Ochocinco lost his Starbucks Gold Card in a recent car break in. While his iPod and wallet were taken, the wallet was later found with credit cards and license in place. Just his personalized Starbucks Gold Card from the Starbucks Rewards program was missing. The card was charged up with $220 too! 🙁 Hear Chad lament his missing card.
But this does explain an anomaly seen here on Pulpconnection. Today sees a significant surge in traffic going to this post from 2009, Starbucks Gold Is Now Starbucks Rewards.
Seems like there are quite a few concerned Starbucks Gold Card members who are following Chad’s plight. But don’t fret, Starbucks replaced Chad’s card so he doesn’t have to eat all those lemon loaves again.
Signs of Hawaii: Plenty Parking
With the welcomed addition of Whole Foods Market in Kailua, there are more and more shoppers cramming into the Kainalu Plaza retail area. But don’t you worry about the parking situation as assured by these signs.
But did you spot the grammatical faux pas? It’s subtle, and for us in Hawaii, the improper use has become colloquial commonplace. So what is it?
There’s an “of” missing in “Plenty additional free parking.” It should be “Plenty of additional free parking,” but in local lingo, plenty parking is accepted. What would also make this phrase correct and shorter would be replacing “plenty additional” with “choke.”
Choke free parking.
Lucky LEGO Find
There I was walking around when something caught my eye. It was the Caped Crusader in LEGO minifig form, and he was sitting atop trash discarded items. Everyone knows you can’t leave your wingman, and you definitely can’t abandon the pilot of the Batwing.
So I staged a rescue and now got this guy standing on my desk (after a good cleaning).
LeBron Active Wear at TJ Maxx
TJ Maxx is known for carrying designer and name brand clothing, so I wasn’t too surprised when I found Nike LeBron James active wear in store. Along with lots of thongs, the new Pearl City TJ Maxx sells Nike and Adidas active wear, and not just the basic designs, but the more premium variety.
Normally $40, I got these LeBron pants for $17! Â Nothing like kicking it at home in LeBron capri pants. They are capris, right?
