Kanye West Rapping Angry in Hawaii?
Reportedly Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West is working on new material in a sound studio in Hawaii. Internet rumors said Kanye was attending anger management training, but instead Mr. West said he’s getting the aloha spirit in the Aloha State.

iPhone 3G Activity Ramping Up
Lots of iPhone 3G talk online today. Apple’s releasing a few software updates in preparation of the official launch tomorrow. New iTunes 7.7 is out (but not showing up in my Software Update) and the MobileMe conversion is also going on.
The revamped email addresses converting from @mac.com to @me.com are already working, and I’ve successfully tested geewhy50@me.com.
iPhone 3G reviews are already out too. Gonna read what Uncle Walt Mossberg has to say…

Steve & Barry’s Going Bankrupt?!
From being the latest local darling selling affordable fashions, Steve & Barry’s which recently opened in Hawaii has filed for bankruptcy. They are still in business and the fate of the Waikele location is unknown since some stores will be closing.
I better have the Pulpconnection 100K giveaway soon since I have a $20 Steve & Barry’s gift card as a prize!
Hitting 100,000
The Pulpconnection visit-ometer has rolled over surpassing the 100,000 visitor count. Whoa, how humbling. The actual 100,000th visitor viewed the Return of the OG post about rappers Ice-T and Kevin Federline.

Looking back at previous stats, the last major count I took was in December 2007 when Pulpconnection reached 50,000 visitors. Here is the visits timeline:
- 10,000 visits – November 2006
- 20,000 visits – May 2007 (6 months later)
- 30,000 visits – October 2007 (5 months later)
- 35,000 visits – November 2007 (1 month later)
- 40,000 visits – November 2007 (17 days later)
- 50,000 visits – December 2007 (21 days later)
- 100,000 visits – July 2008 (8 months later)
In graphical form.
During this eight month span, the hottest content was scantily clad men, hot local newscasters, hot kicks, and a hot dancer who farts in public. What a pulpy, eclectic mix.

T-Pain for the Working People
Is it me or does rapper T-Pain fight for the working person? Of course, he got his breakthrough being N Luv (Wit a Stripper). Now he’s singing about the Bartender. What working occupation will he rap about next? Maybe the Stinky Yardman taking material from Gregg Hammer on I-94?
I heard two reggae bits done by Hammer during the morning drive, and they are hilarious. So random but his rhymes are great.

Mountain Dew Voltage is Familiar
The last of the new Dews Mountain Dew Voltage tastes familiar. It reminds me of a former Dew flavor (the Game Fuel was it?), and because of that, the Voltage is recognizable. Unlike the Revolution and Supernova, the Voltage has some carbonated kick to it, further distinguishing it from the other two mellow Dews.
Because of its familiarity and bubbly fizzle, the Voltage leads the Dewmocracy voting across the US. This Dew will most likely be the next flavor, but why not keep all the new Dews and package them together in a variety pack? In a 12-pack, include 3 cans each of classic Dew, the Revolution, the Supernova, and the Voltage? That would be a very colorful ensemble.
