A Good Idea – Complete My Album

What a good idea! Apple tweaked the buying policy at the iTunes Store allowing customers to complete their albums if they previously purchased singles from that album. Instead of buying a single, only to go back and purchase the entire album, the rest of the album can be bought at a prorated cost.

If you fell into this situation within the past 180 days, Apple has a retroactive offer for your purchases.

Makes sense!

Update: Got an email from iTunes that says:

You have up to six months after first downloading a song from an eligible album to purchase the remainder of the album.

Lost at Club 939 on the Air

So I didn’t yet watch the entire episode, but it didn’t take long. Within the first few minutes of episode 14 “Exposé“, viewers got to see Nikki, played by Kiele Sanchez, doing her thing at Club 939, Hawaii’s Hottest Gentlemen’s Club. Mr. 939 himself was in the scene as Japanese tourist #4, but you could barely see him! Only had a profile or two visible in slow motion. 🙁

Paulina Porizkova is Pau

This caught me by surprise, but supermodel turned Dancing with the Stars contestant, Paulina Porizkova, was voted off the show last night. She’s one of the few dancers I saw perform on the first two shows, and I thought she was okay. She has an elegant and graceful style that didn’t match her Latin dance in Week 2, but she wasn’t terrible.

I thought Billy Ray Cyrus would be the first to go with his dancing style reminding me of a Heffalump. But instead of rejoining the cast of Hannah Montana, Billy Ray’s Disney and Achy Breaky Heart fans voted him on.

Poor Karina Smirnoff who’s dancing with Billy Ray after partnering with semi-pro Mario Lopez last year.

Lucky Cheryl Burke who has a good chance of winning yet again. Ian Ziering has some work to do but has that quality of looking happy while dancing. Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith both had that quality and look what happened.

Heather Mills Latin dance was downright impressive even doing a handstand flip. She moves very well, and you can’t really tell which leg is fake. Too bad she looks kinda goofy and has jacked up teeth.

I still haven’t seen Apolo Ohno perform but heard he’s pretty good. Need to check YouTube for some coverage of him and his very sought after partner, Julianne Hough.

Looks like another year where a guy will win…

Dancing with the Stars Bringing in the Hits

The fourth season of Dancing with the Stars has just begun, but this show is already having a significant impact on Pulpconnection. Starting early this week, the number of visits to Pulpconnection increased, going from about 50 hits a day to 90 hits on Monday then over 100 hits today.


Looking at stats from Sitemeter and Google Analytics, the main reason for the increased hits is searches for Dancing with the Stars, especially those looking for pictures of Kym Johnson and Julianne Hough. I know we went over this already, and I don’t have any pictures from Dancing with the Stars.

Taking a look at keywords from Google Analytics provides an interesting look at the recent action.


Searches for Julianne Hough lead the way followed by queries for Kym Johnson and Edyta Sliwinska but look what’s taking the fourth spot, searches for “lorenzo mata ugly.” Ha! This is coming from my poll asking Which Team Is Mo’ Ugly? for the 2006 NCAA basketball finals between UCLA and Florida.

Lost Viewing Party at Club 939

Don’t forget that the Lost episode filmed at Club 939 is airing this Wednesday. To celebrate this event, Club 939 is having an unadvertised viewing party coming up later in the week. The entire cast and production crew of Lost is invited though there are no confirmations of who’s showing up.

If you want more details, contact me, or if he wants, Mr. 939 can spill the beans.

And oh yeah, the club will be in full effect during the viewing party with the dancers doing their thang, so it ain’t a PG-rated party.

Dwyane Wade’s Shoulder "Tightening Up"

Heat guard, Dwyane Wade, continues his rehab for his dislocated shoulder. In the latest news, Heat coach, Pat Riley, says Wade’s shoulder is “healing and tightening up.”

Tightening up?! Tightening up?! This is week 4 of his rehab. That’s a far ways away from being NBA ready with 13 games left on the Heat’s schedule.

I’m not one for a cheap shot, but if DWade returns for the playoffs, who knows what will happen in the heat of competition. Someone may “accidentally” bump into his shoulder… again and again and again.
