My top reasons why I need to get a MacBook Pro.
The Macworld Expo is going on right now with his Steveness giving his keynote. Nothing too exciting yet. A new (wired) remote control for iPods that’s also an FM tuner. I think the Tabasco Man and WW was interested in this added feature. iLife 06. Photocasting pictures to the Internet using RSS and .Mac. Updated OS X. 10.4.4 will be available today. New iTunes content.
iWeb, a web page authoring app, is for real.
Intel iMac. This is going to piss a lot of new iMac owners off. Same as recently released iMac G5, but with dual core Intel processors inside. Supposedly faster.
No more PowerBook. Now have MacBook Pro (lame name). 2 procs, 4-5x faster. Where’s my credit card?? 1.67 GHz for $2000, 1.8 GHz for $2500. Ships in Feb.

Google’s own video store is now up and running. After its initial announcement, the Google Video Store was nowhere to be found. Now it’s in full swing with old and new video from CBS and the NBA.
Prices vary from $1.99 to $4.99. Not quite sure I like the layout of the site. Feels too random and sparse like I’m missing something.
And no Mac support?!?! That’s a non-starter.
And no, the NBA game with the massive brawl between the Pistons and the Pacers is not yet available for purchase. The Lakers game where Kobe went for 62 costs $3.95.

The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) has a blurb about a possible variation of Apple’s “Think Different” marketing slogan for tomorrow’s Macworld Expo. Think Twice may be completely bogus, or it may be an indication of dual core processors used in new Macs.
As posted by Macrumors.com, the dot Mac (.Mac) Internet services are scheduled for an outage on January 10 where all services will be affected.

The release of the Air Jordan XXI is set for February 18, 2006.
Looking at previews of the XXI at NikeTalk, I’m not really feeling them. Kinda looks like shoes professional boxers wear.
Seems like the Air Jordan line is running out of steam with Lebron and Kobe taking the Nike signature mantle. Nike should end the Jordan line with XXIII (#23, Jordan’s jersey number).
