I can’t tell if this is fact or fiction, but if true, the pre-game of the Chiefs and 49ers matchup just leveled up. NORAD will supposedly track Taylor Swift’s voyage from Japan to Las Vegas to make the kickoff of SB XLVIII.
These special UNO decks quietly released – one set for each Super Bowl LVIII team.
So Taylor flying from Japan after concluding concert dates to get to Las Vegas for Super Bowl 58 hit a snag. The airport is fully booked for landings during the Super Bowl timeframe. Now, it’s definitely not past Team Taylor if they indeed did an advanced booking. But the boss move would be to simply buy the airport (or an airport). LOL, okay, that’s not that simple, but I can see it…
But will Taylor be able to make it to Super Bowl LVIII with the Eras tour playing internationally? According to The Sporting News, the Eras tour is playing in Tokyo, Japan from Febrary 7-10 then moves to Australia for tour dates starting back on February 16. With the time zone difference and a private jet, will Taylor make it to watch the Kansas City Chiefs with Travis Kelce play in Las Vegas?
I can see the NFL Super Bowl pre-game showing updates on Taylor’s treck to Vegas, and all the Swifties will be tuned in…
With half of the Super Bowl set, the ratings for Super Bowl Bowl LVIII are about to moon.
This caught me by surprise, but according to Dick’s Sporting Goods (which is not in Hawaii), women in Hawaii are fans of Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs whose jersey is the best selling in the Aloha state.
So a safe holiday gift for the female NFL fan could be Jamaal’s #25 jersey that’s #1 in Hawaii. A limited edition women’s jersey is ahem only $145.
More suggestions from the Pulpconnection Holiday Gift Guide, 2014 edition.
My knowledge of the NFL is woeful, but after hearing about the Seahawks’ Richard Sherman go off during an interview, I wanted to check it out. Here’s the interview after the conclusion of Seattle’s win over San Francisco.
Whoa times two. And that old school name, “Richard.” Whoa times three. Stanford grad? Whoa times four. All I know is that Richard’s outburst certainly is giving the Super Bowl an early start on the hype.
Update: This is a great article about Richard Sherman.
First off, I am bummed that NFL receiver Chad Ochocinco lost his Starbucks Gold Card in a recent car break in. While his iPod and wallet were taken, the wallet was later found with credit cards and license in place. Just his personalized Starbucks Gold Card from the Starbucks Rewards program was missing. The card was charged up with $220 too! 🙁 Hear Chad lament his missing card.
But this does explain an anomaly seen here on Pulpconnection. Today sees a significant surge in traffic going to this post from 2009, Starbucks Gold Is Now Starbucks Rewards.
Seems like there are quite a few concerned Starbucks Gold Card members who are following Chad’s plight. But don’t fret, Starbucks replaced Chad’s card so he doesn’t have to eat all those lemon loaves again.
