Zoom Team Edition

These white/flint grey Zoom Team Editions are starting to grow on me. Price is right too at less than $80. These aren’t the Jordan P-rods or the Diamond Dunks, but it has some possibilities. I’ve always had a thing for grey shoes though my current rotation is leaning way to the black.
Nike Diamond Dunks in HI
The over-hyped Nike Diamond Dunks dropped in Hawaii today. Going price was $200, and places still sold out in no time. Also known as the Dunk Low Pro SB Aqua/Cool Grey or Tiffanys cause of its color scheme, I’ll have to pass. How do you match these kicks?
Read about the Tiffanys in a raging discussion on NikeTalk. Over 100 pages long!
Check out Fireswamp
Be sure to check out kazuo’s new blog, Fireswamp, Dedicated to the 3 Terrors of the Fireswamp and other whimsy.
This blogging stuff is kinda addicting. Not sure why though. I can see blog-like apps being used for work-related tasks, but I doubt folks at work would agree. Sad the life…
Got a Shuffle!

Okay, so cutting back on workouts and not watching what I eat isn’t good for the old waistline. But thanks to a promotion by Macys and Dockers, there’s an upside to all of this. Fat daddy has a new phat iPod Shuffle. Wow, it’s tiny.
Jordan P-Rods (Zoom Air Elite)

Missed out on the surprise release of the Jordan P-Rods from the Nike SB line of shoes. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, this shoe sold out quick even at the cost of $200. Niketalk has a discussion going. The June 2005 (Issue 8) copy of Sole Collector has a pic on page 73 (the Lebron cover).
Never paid $200 for a pair of kicks (yet). Closest was my Pippen’s and Jordan XVIII.
HPO in HBR
The July/August 2005 issue of the Harvard Business Review is dedicated to the High-Performance Organization. Some pretty good (and relevant) articles all relating to management, leadership, and of course, high performing organizations.
So when does the annual Slam Kicks issue hit the newsstands? Discussions on who’s going to be on the cover is underway at niketalk.com.
Local Style Tunes
Picked up some new music this weekend.
- Jasmine Trias self titled debut album

Mr. Peterman was Robbed!

So I watched some episodes of Dancing with the Stars, and it was very entertaining. I thought Seinfeld’s Mr. Peterman, John O’Hurley, should have won instead of Kelly Monaco. Mr. Peterman got style and is a pretty funny dude. Bringing in Mr. Dirty Dancing himself, Patrick Swayze, for dancing tips was classic.
Home Gym
![]()
To start losing some of my extra pounds, I got myself a mini-home gym of an adjustable bench and the Bowflex SelectTech dumbbells. These dumbbells are pretty neat and take up very little space. They’re kinda bulky compared to regular weights but beats having all those weights around.
Sold the Celica

With the arrival of our van, my Toyota Celica had to go. Fun times, I’ll miss little Bessie.
