Guess what’s opened up at the former Gloria Jeans location in Windward Mall? It’s local coffee purveyor, Mocha Java Cafe!
Now while you’re doing your holiday shopping at the mall, you can indulge in a Milky Way latte or seasonal Peppermint Mocha. What an unexpected but welcomed addition to the Windward Mall ohana.

Came across this wine the other day, and the hip hop graffiti label caught my eye. Typically, wine bottle designs are more conservative so this one stood out.
Checking the back label, this wine has a QR code along with the link to its Facebook page. That’s some hip wine.
I Can Has Schweddy Balls
I can now cross it off my To Do list. Yes, I have tasted Schweddy Balls.
This test ice cream flavor has been available at Ben & Jerry’s in Windward Mall for some time, but I never had the opportunity to sample the sweetness. So what do Schweddy Balls taste like? Kinda like vanilla. The rum balls are naughtily good but then the malt balls are confusing. Nibbling into the balls, you expect the tinge of rum. But then you get a airy rice crispy-like malt ball, and you’re like, “Whoa, what’s this?”
I’m guessing that the Schweddy Balls will be a limited run that won’t endure. So if you want to sample Schweddy Balls, my suggestion is to taste them sooner rather than later.

Walking through Windward Mall the other day, I passed by this now closed spot and thought way back to the days this was Gloria Jeans Coffee.
Coffee locales in the mall are now Cinnabon and even Ben & Jerry’s.

Mine was in the glove box in the family van. Got this back in 2005 after Jasmine’s run on American Idol. Wonder if it got any play at Club 939?
