I’m Now an Aquarius or Am I?
My sign’s always been Pisces, but for astronomers, I’m an Aquarius after including the 13th sign, Ophiuchus.
But according to this CNN report, I’m still a Pisces (if I was a believer in astrology).

Wednesday’s Star Advertiser headline read “Oahu loads up with guns.” It’s got to be because of Hawaii Five-0. Anyone who’s watched this series knows of the dangers of Oahu. You can’t walk on Waikiki Beach without threat of Yakuza gunfire. Go to a high school football game and you might get shot. A luau is where cops are cooked in the imu pit. The submarine Atlantis tour is where you see bodies disposed of in the ocean. And don’t board that cruise ship stopped in Hawaii since there’s a serial killer on-board.
With all this violence, it’s no wonder Oahuans are loading up.

First off, big props to Rene Mansho for organizing the monthly Aloha Aina Earth Day events. This is a great way to recycle difficult items like old computers, batteries, etc. At the recent Castle High School event, Ms. Mansho showed off some crazy kicks. I don’t know how to describe them other than awesome!
Years ago we hired a student aide right out of high school. After working with her on a few projects, I shook my head and wondered how she would survive in the real world. Well, that was ages ago. She’s since changed, but I still shake my head and wonder… but just a little less. 🙂
So long Susie and thanks for the your enthusiasm, exuberance, and assistance over the years. No doubt, you lit up the place!
P.S. Don’t break any more cameras.
These Hawaii-based history teachers are on to something here. Why not teach history lessons mashed up with popular music tunes? Like learning about the French Revolution to Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance?
Hmmm, what to learn next? The Black Death to Gwen Stefani’s Hollaback Girl? The vikings to Depeche Mode’s Personal Jesus?
I’m on Quora, the site with crowd sourced answers to questions. It’s all new to me, but if you dig around long enough, you’ll surely find interesting questions (and answers).
