While I’m not a fan of all black aka “triple black” shoes, I succumbed and bought a pair of Yeezy 350 Black (non-reflective). I like the look especially the hits of red on the heel pull tab. But then I saw that the Air Jordan 4 Black Cats were making a re-appearance, and the morning after I watched this episode of Unbreakable Kicks, there was an exclusive access offered via the SNKRS app. So out went the Yeezys, and in came the Black Cats.
And Nightwing of WearTesters approves as well.

Nike Is Global But No Longer International
My first post of 2020 is one of bad news. Nike has a new policy where retailers are no longer allowed to ship Nike products, namely shoes, internationally. These retailers must keep their products local. So you can no longer get Nikes from stores like FootPatrol who does offer world wide shipping.
Adidas Tricked Me
Adidas played a mean trick with this app reminder from awhile ago.
It’s now past 10:00PM HST on December 29, and these Yeezy 700 Waverunners are not available. 🙁
Holiday Gift Guide 2019 Hawaii Swatch
Details are sparse at the moment, but just know that Hawaii will have a Swatch Destination watch for the islands come December. Periodically, Swatch creates watches based on themes from geographic locations. For the United States, New York City, Miami, and Las Vegas are the only cities with a Swatch Destination design, but in early December 2019, Hawaii is joining the Swatch Destination family.
I haven’t yet seen an accurate image of this upcoming watch, and you’ll have to go to the Swatch store in Ala Moana to see and buy this Hawaiian exclusive. But this makes for a fun gift with an uniquely local flair.

Costco Online Isn’t
Bro, what’s up with Costco.com? Big box retailer’s online presence is anything but online. You can view products but try adding anything to your cart. Nothing happens, except for error messages.
After each error, you need to reload the page, possibly losing that next step in the checkout process. I guess Black Friday shopping has really moved online.
Update 10:17am. After one hour of trying, I finally got a successful charge and checkout. I’m done.

See, Star Wars themed items are always popular during the Holidays. Yes, Baby Yoda merch is definitely on its way, and there’s the Igloo collaboration with Star Wars. I’ve only seen the first episode of The Mandalorian streaming on Disney+, but that’s all it takes to know that “Baby Yoda” has to be the hit gift for 2019.
Except that you can’t find any Baby Yoda merchandise – nothing official anyways. But assumedly, that is going to change. There’s no way Disney can forgo this Force-ful opportunity. Yes, Baby Yoda was purposely hidden from marketing to surprise The Mandalorian viewers, but now that the entire galaxy has seen the big ears and innocent eyes, Baby Yoda’s likeness will be everywhere December 2019.
Holiday Gift Guide 2019 BTS FILA Shoes
While I personally don’t know enough about the K-pop band BTS, I know their legions of fans aka ARMY (Adorable Representative MC for Youth) are fanatics. So getting a gift for a BTS ARMY member may be a challenge since she probably already has any and all BTS merch. Instead get a head start on the wave and gift a pair of FILA shoes. FILA? Yep, RM, Suga, Jimin, V, Jungkook, J-Hope, and Jin will be repping FILA as the company’s new brand ambassadors.
I know for a fact that you can head to your local Nordstrom Rack and load up on FILAs of a variety of styles. These, of course, are not BTS-branded, but they are FILA on the cheap.
