Cinnamon Dolce Latte Now at Starbucks Hawaii
With the yummy Peppermint Mocha and other Holiday drinks exiting Starbucks in Hawaii, the Cinnamon Dolce Latte is the newest drink addition for 2007. This drink is smooth with the right amount of cinnamon – not overwhelming and more than just an aftertaste.
Starbucks describes this drink as, “The beverage of beautiful, buttery bliss is back.” Back? Yes, back for mainland Starbuckeroos anyways. This is the first time the Cinnamon Dolce Latte is available in the Islands as I complained about last year.
The drink is worth the wait. No hard feelings. $4.24 for a grande with Hawaii’s newly-increased excise tax.
Simple Christmas Eve
With a change in schedules this year, our Christmas Eve was pretty simple and straightforward. During the day, we went to Bellows for fun, sun, and lots of sand.
Dinner for Christmas Eve was none other than Pizza Hut pizza! Activities included playing Frogger and checking out homes decked out with Christmas lights.
A simple but fun Christmas Eve.
"Lost" House Fire in Kailua
This morning while getting ready for work, we heard a bunch of fire trucks headed into Kailua, and I mean a bunch of them. Must have heard sirens for several minutes so there must have been quite a few fire engines. Looking out our window, we saw a plume of black smoke off in the distance. Even while driving to work, I passed another fire vehicle and the KHON2 Scoop van.
Now I find out that the fire burned the rented house of Evangeline Lilly of Lost. Wow, what a loss right before Christmas.

Why Club 939 Needs a Blog
Yeah, even Hawaii’s Hottest Gentlemen’s Club should have a blog. Mainly, the blog would be a way to get the word out about upcoming promotions and events. A 939 blog could provide an insider’s view of what (legal) things go on at the club and ideas about what could go on at the club.
Stuff like trying to get Nautica Thorn to be at the club or having a snow party during the Holidays. Lots of interesting content to be had. What bands are performing? Reminders about Nite Club nights on Sundays. What televised sporting events will be shown on the big screens? Any other specials or even to float ideas about possible specials.
Interesting Sights at Ala Moana
While out doing some damage during this weekend’s Friends and Family bonanza, saw some interesting things at Ala Moana.
LeSportsac has an interesting design going on with some of their bags. I think this series is called Tokidoki and reminds me of Japanese cartoons.

Caught the very tail end of the Ala Moana Holiday show, The Christmas Gift of Aloha, and it snowed on the center stage. Pretty neat.
Four Starbucks at Ward!
How many Starbucks do you need in the Ward area? My last count was four on Auahi Street! There’s one at the Ward Gateway Center by Wahoo’s and Sports Authority. There’s one downstairs from the movie theaters. I recently saw one near the new PF Changs, and just today, I just found out that the coffee bar in Borders switched over to Starbucks.
So that’s four, count’em four Starbucks on this one small strip of shops. Of course, I need to try out all of them. Two down, two to go.
Black Fri. at Kicks HI
Okay, I didn’t make it to the first Black Friday sale for Kicks HI but did get a peek at the madness thanks to KHON2. Tannya Joaquin did a story on Holiday Credit Card Tips, and this piece featured video footage of shoe heads feeding their fetish at Kicks HI.
People waited for three hours in line to get $10 shoes and 15% off everything in the store.

Mario Lopez Coming to Hawaii
Reigning champ of Dancing with the Stars, Cheryl Burke, is going to be in Hawaii in about a week, and on December 11, runner up Mario Lopez will also be making a Hawaiian appearance at the Reef Check Hawaii Run for the Reefs Luau.
He’ll be joining host Kelly Hu and other stars like Carl Lewis, Kelly Slater, Jason Scott Lee, Daniel Dae Kim, and more. A VIP invitation that includes a pre-event reception with the stars goes for $500 per person. So if you want to harass Mario in person about finishing in second place, be ready to dole out that cash.
