Jay-Z’s Blueprint for the Brooklyn Nets
Reading about Jay-Z’s deep influence on the Brooklyn Nets branding. Interesting when Jay-Z’s empire collides with sports.

From a jumble of discovered LEGO bricks, the Blacktron Allied Avenger is assembled and ready to launch!

Got some fresh reading material to dive into. They are:

What’s hiding in this Mac IIsi NuBus Adapter Card box?
I found this box on a shelf, opened it up, and found more LEGO!
There are a lot of bricks crammed into this small box.
A couple more minifigures to add to the collection…
Time to start building!
Look what the mailman brought! In a little nondescript brown package, these fun items were revealed.

I only managed to find these three available from a vendor on Amazon.com, but they’re pretty cool. It looks like the vendor felt each package and then labeled them. The gymnast’s bag was actually cut open and taped closed. No matter though since the minifigures were intact and as promised.
Hopefully, this doesn’t end my Olympics LEGO search with possibly a few more packs coming in. 🙂
At least that’s what I think is this car. Although I couldn’t get a clean picture, I think the rear said BRZ, so I’m sticking with my assertion that Kailua get one Subaru BRZ.

An interesting pairing that you got to watch…
It’s been some time since I’ve dipped into the network design realm. Reading about Martian and Bogon routes. Didn’t realize these address spaces had cool names now.

Anyways, head on over to a well stocked Starbucks to pick up this freebie. I’ve only seen this app at one of three Starbucks I visited this week so your luck may vary. Here’s a quick sample of a Halftone created comic panel.
No matter what you think of Lana Del Rey’s musical origin, I do like her musical style. I’ve been binging on her tunes for some time now, and look at this. Four unreleased tracks have surfaced on the web. Bonus!
That’s what I thought when I chomped into my first taste of the new Doritos Jacked. I saw these at Safeway and bought them without reading the package since I love me my Doritos. I thought the Jacked was in reference to a pepper jack flavor. But nooo. This Jacked variety of Doritos is physically bigger than regular Doritos and thicker as well.

For me, this “biggerness” of the Jacked threw off the distinct Doritos experience. I thought I was eating generic tortilla chips with some Doritos-like flavoring. It just didn’t feel like I was eating Doritos. Too thick, too crunchy, and the flavor doesn’t carry through the entire chip. I do like the heat of the Smoky Chipotle BBQ flavor though.
The Impulsive Buy has a better review of Doritos Jacked, but I won’t be buying these again.
