International Delight Still in the Game
International Delight is still competing in the coffee creamer battles with Coffeemate, releasing three new flavors, White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Macchiato, and Vanilla Latte. These new “coffee house inspirations” come in newly designed, stylish silver and black bottles.
I have to say that International Delight probably has the best packaging designs and names for their creamer flavors. Too bad the actual taste of the creamers don’t live up to the hype. No matter which ones I try, I always fall back to Coffeemate which simply tastes better.

Next Up for Glee: No Air
The love triangle of Quinn, Finn, and Rachel heats up in the next episode of Glee featuring No Air.
Natalie Coughlin Goes All Out on Dancing with the Stars
For her DWTS rumba, Natalie Coughlin got the go-ahead to go all out with partner Alec Mazo. Who gave this approval of sensuality? None other than Alec’s wife, Edyta who was eliminated in Week 1.
The show’s producers had to find ways of getting Edyta more airtime, and the performance introduction was the perfect venue! Can this swimmer be the next Dancing with the Stars champion with Olympic ties?
Starbucks VIA Packet Is Too Small
Okay, so I don’t follow directions when it comes to Starbuck’s new ready brew (instant) coffee called VIA. Instead of pouring the contents of the packet into a cup then adding hot water, I start with hot water already in a cup.
But when you do that, often times the steam from the hot water will react with the VIA coffee, gunking up the mouth of the packet. Once that happens, it’s a hassle to get the VIA out of the packet, taking away the “instant” experience.
To make things simple, why not have a bigger/wider packet size? Oh look, others are complaining about this on the MyStarbucksIdea web site.
Laptop Sleeve for Kicks Fiends
Now this is a laptop sleeve that only kicks fiends can appreciate.
Look at all the boxes! Don’t it remind you of my kicks anthology?
New on iTunes
New this week on iTunes:
- Twilight’s New Moon soundtrack. Pre-order and get one single now, but my main reason for ordering is Lupe Fiasco’s Solar Midnite.
- Britney’s 3. It’s Britney, you need to buy!
- Glee’s upcoming mashup of Halo/Walking on Sunshine and It’s My Life/Confessions. Not just great songs, but combos of great songs. OMG! The complete soundtrack is gonna be a keeper.
- Sarah McLachlan’s One Dream. Classic Sarah.
What’s In Your Coffee?
Wired magazine takes a look inside a typical cup of coffee and the ingredients that make it up.
Hmm, coffee contains a bug killer (caffeine), a cockroach pheromone (2-Ethylphenol), a compound giving human feces its odor (Dimethyl disulfide), the taste of butter (Acetylmethylcarbinol), a cavity preventer (Trigonelline), and so much more. No wonder it’s great stuff!!
Adding to My Book List: Harnessing the Groundswell
Ooh, the next “chapter” of the Groundswell will be coming out in 2010, and I’m adding “Harnessing the Groundswell: Drive Your Business With Empowered Employees and Customers” to my book list. Here’s their short description:
Who are these empowered people? They’re employees using simple technologies to solve business problems — but in ways management hasn’t sanctioned. They’re customers, armed with a sea of ambient information and friend connections, who redefine your brand. Either way, empowered individuals are a problem for locked-down and unprepared managers stuck on control. “Harnessing the Groundswell” explains how to enable, select, scale, and socialize this energy — that is, how to embrace empowered individuals and use them to drive your business forward.
Sound familiar to anyone?

What to Do, What to Do?
Got to follow up some leads about possible new “projects” to join. The biggest decision is whether to stay “home-based” or go back out working at customer sites.
Just not sure what to do, but I can’t forget the reason why I came back to the office, to help our organization improve.
